Certified Manufacturing Operator

This course is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level positions in modern manufacturing environments. Students will learn the fundamentals of manufacturing processes, safety procedures, quality control, equipment operation, and workplace communication. The curriculum emphasizes lean manufacturing principles, measurement and inspection techniques, basic maintenance, and an introduction to automation and production systems. Training is aligned with NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) standards, ensuring instruction follows nationally recognized competencies in industrial and manufacturing operations.
Scholarships are available to those who qualify.
Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
with Nathan Raulerson
This course provides an in-depth introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), with a focus on their role in industrial automation and control systems. Students will learn the fundamental principles of PLC operation, including hardware components, input/output systems, ladder logic programming, and troubleshooting techniques. The course emphasizes hands-on experience with PLC programming software and simulation tools, enabling students to design, write, and test programs for real-world manufacturing and process control applications. Topics include logic gates, timers, counters, memory functions, and basic communication protocols. By the end of the course, students will be able to configure, program, and maintain PLC systems commonly used in industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, utilities, and automated production lines.

Drone Training and Flight Class
Prepare for FAA certification and hands-on flight operations with our comprehensive 36-hour Part 107 Drone Training and Flight Class. Designed for beginners and aspiring commercial drone pilots, this program blends expert-led instruction, real-world flight practice, and test-ready exam preparation. Focused classroom instruction covering FAA regulations, airspace classification, weather, mission planning, and safety protocols. Engage in full-day flight labs featuring hands-on drone operations, simulator training, scenario-based missions, and personalized coaching to build confidence and competency. By the end of the program, participants will be fully prepared for the FAA Part 107 exam and equipped with the practical skills needed to begin or advance a career in the drone industry.

Forklift Operator Training
with James Carson
This Forklift Safety Training Program meets the regulatory requirements of CFR 1910.1781. This program includes safety, preventive maintenance and operation. The program incorporates slide presentations, videos, classroom discussion, written testing and hands-on evaluation.
OSHA requires that training takes place in the workplace on the actual forklift that is being used.
This is a general OSHA safety course and our practical training is done on a propane powered Hyster forklift.
Defensive Driving

The National Safety Council’s 8-Hour Defensive Driving Course is an accredited point reduction program that is listed by name under SC Code 56-1-770.
“Any driver who has accumulated points under the provisions of this article shall have the number of his points reduced by four upon proving to the satisfaction of the Department of Public Safety that he has completed the National Safety Council’s “Defensive Driving Course” or its equivalent, if the course is completed after the points have been assessed.”
Completion of the National Safety Council's Defensive Driving 8-Hour Course can be used for up to a four-point reduction in a driver's Motor Vehicle Record. (This information only applies to individuals with a valid South Carolina Driver’s License.)
Point reduction is good once every three (3) years.
Law School for Non-Lawyers
The South Carolina Bar is sponsoring Law School for Non-Lawyers, an 8-week course designed to provide an overview of the SC legal system and insight into common legal issues. All classes are taught by licensed attorneys and judges. Classes will be held on Tuesdays only.
Drone Flight Class
The One-Day Drone Flight Class is an accelerated 8-hour training experience designed for students, educators, hobbyists, and professionals seeking hands-on drone operation skills in a single immersive session. This course focuses exclusively on practical flight training, safety procedures, and mission-based exercises, providing participants with the essential competencies required to fly confidently and responsibly.
Participants receive a full day of guided instruction and supervised flight practice, including:
- Pre-flight planning and safety protocols
- Manual flight skills development, Simulator-based training (if applicable)
- Scenario-driven missions and obstacle challenges
- Post-flight debrief and performance feedback.
